1. Open your app and click on your avatar which is at the upper left side

2. Click on your name which just below your display picture/avatar

3. A popup page will be shown, edit your name to your new preferred one and click save button

HOW TO CHANGE SNAPCHAT USERNAME


An update that I am not sure about the exact version but since then you don't have the option to change your username after setting once when you create or make your account. 

A possible option I can think of is to make or create a new account again but this may not be practical for everyone

Snapchat said it is for security reasons and doesn't mention any specific reason.
